New publications in the Archives - May

49 titles were added to the Archives collection this month. Once again, works on Champaign-Urbana buildings nominated to the National Register of Historic Places were the most numerous of the items cataloged. Chief among the other works added were six reports concerning the environmental impact of the former Illinois Power Company gas manufacturing plant on East Hill Street in Champaign. These were produced at the behest of Illinois Power in the early 1990s by various firms.

The Archives collection of school yearbooks was enhanced by the addition of needed yearbooks from Heritage High School ("The Hawk" - volumes for 1992, 1995-2005, 2008-2009) and the former Allerton-Broadlands-Longview Community Unit School District Six school ("The Trojan" - volumes for 1972, 1977, 1981-1984, 1988).

Finally, the Archives was presented with the four-volume set The papers of Abraham Lincoln: legal documents and cases as a gift of the Illinois Bar Association.
