Souvenir, Elks’ Minstrel Entertainment [Call no.: ILLINOIS/(Champ)/BEN]

This 51 page program, dating from 1910, includes portrait photographs of many of the members of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 991, most all of whom were Urbana’s most influential citizens at that time. The program also features a page of portrait photographs of the infant and preschool aged sons of some of these members, this page bearing the caption “We want to be Elks some day.” The names of all the people pictured have been entered into the Historical and Genealogical Index.
